Minskoff Theatre
Minskoff Theatre
Opened in 1973, the theatre was named for Sam Minskoff and Sons, one of New York’s distinguished real estate families. As a tribute to their generosity, Disney has designed a stunning new environment for the theatre that includes a dramatic new terrazzo walkway into the lobby and hand-painted, gold leaf sculptures depicting scenes from the musical on the walls. The main lobby area features a dramatic, panoramic view of Broadway and offers a beautiful space for guests to socialize. The Minskoff is one of The Nederlander Organization’s nine Broadway theatres. Disney’s The Lion King is currently playing at the Minskoff Theatre.
