Ambassador Theatre

Classic Broadway play & musical venue circa 1921, with traditional decor, refreshments & souvenirs.

When we think of the Ambassador Theatre, we tend to associate it with the musicals that were popular in the 1920’s. From the likes of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Jerome Kern, these shows are often associated with the famous stars and beautiful showgirls of the era. However, the Ambassador was also home to a variety of other types of entertainment over the years. While not as glamorous as the musicals, the Ambassador played host to a number of notable shows in the early and mid-twentieth century. These included a handful of operas, a handful of vaudeville acts, and even a circus act in 1929.
